What’s your plan if a major incident happens near you?
Previous incidents within Gippsland, including the 2009 bushfires, have shown the need for strong tourism business community leadership and coordination of resources to assist in the planning, preparation, response and the recovery phase of a crisis or incident.
Three business continuity and resilience workshops for tourism business will be held in the Baw Baw region in February.
The workshops are designed to minimise the economic impact of incidents on the tourism business community and to provide an insight into the factors that can impact on your business in times of natural, manmade or accidental incidents.
The workshops will be held on:
Wednesday February 4 from 5.30-8.30pm at JD Algie Hall, 181 Main Neerim Rd, Neerim South. To register click here.
Thursday February 5 from 9am-12pm at Petit Centre, West Gippsland Health Service, Warragul.
Thursday February 5 from 5.30-8.30pm at the Mountain Rivers Tourist Park, Depot Rd, Rawson.
The practical take home from the workshops will be the creation of a Business Action Plan, including the opportunity to network with the Tourism Business Community in your area.
The workshops are funded through Regional Development Australia.
