Election Q&A at November Network Evening

What will the candidates do for Narracan if they are elected? Ask the questions and get them answered.

The focus of the Victorian election may well seem to be on marginal seats and

Melbourne, but Narracan has a history of doing the unexpected when it comes to State elections.

WBG is hosting a Q&A Election discussion moderated by John Davine on Wednesday 12 November at Warragul Wild Dog Winery.

Speakers for the evening include Member for Narracan, Gary Blackwood representing the Minister for Small Business, Committee for Gippsland CEO Mary Aldred providing insights on key local issues, ALP candidate for Narracan Kate Marten and ALP candidate for Eastern Region, Harriet Shing.

Antony Green’s Victorian Election Preview suggests that, “The Napthine Government’s chances of victory depend on making gains in regional seats,” and “… in Morwell the handling of the Hazelwood mine fire could cause a correction to the margin of National member Russell Northe, with a local independent hoping to capitalise on the issue.”

Meanwhile in Narracan, Warragul and its surrounding communities are facing rapid population growth and there are many implications for our rural community, small business and local industry; as well as social,

employment, health and education issues.

Each speaker will talk for three minutes followed by an interactive discussion where you the audience can ask questions via panel moderator John Davine.  Question cards will be made available to members on arrival.
