Local coach and mentor Maree McPherson will talk about executive coaching and return on investment at a networking breakfast in Warragul on 14 September

Executive coaching has become the approach of choice in management development and as such has established itself as a standard in some industries.

There are significant benefits to organisations from coaching.  Does executive coaching provide a return on investment?  Can we measure it in financial terms, or are we foolish to even try?

Find out at the next Baw Baw Business & Community Network Events breakfast to be held at the Warragul Reception & Conference Centre on Thursday, 14 September 2017, supported by Federation Training and Telstra.

Guest speaker Maree McPherson is a coach, mentor, facilitator, and writer and works with corporate organisations, not-for-profits and individuals.  In her leadership development practice, Maree helps people aspire beyond what they think they are capable of.

With over 30 years’ experience, Ms McPherson is an experienced not for profit, government and community leader, and small business owner.  She is a creator of strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups and a proven effective broker of partnerships, including as a CEO and in the public and for purpose (not for profit) domains.

Because she is passionate about community leadership, Ms McPherson chaired the advisory committee for the Gippsland Community Leadership Program for several years. Her fundamental belief in the power of education to change lives led Ms McPherson to become a member of the Victorian Adult, Community and Further Education Board for over five years.

Her commitment to developing regional Victoria saw Ms McPherson appointed by the Victorian Government to Chair the Gippsland Regional Partnerships committee for a four-year term from August 2016, and she is also member of the Victorian Government’s Regional Development Advisory Committee.

The networking breakfast is $35 for a hot plated breakfast and will be held from 7.00am to 9.00am on Thursday, 14 September.  Pre-event registration is essential with registrations due 6 September.

Start spreading the news for the SnowFest Warragul 2017 on 28 July FREE family event!

We’re bringing the Mountain to Warragul complete with real Baw Baw snow and howling huskies.

Warragul’s Smith and Palmerston Streets will be turned into a sparkling winter wonderland ready for snow fun!

Think Frozen, Snow Queens, Jon Snow, penguins and zany snow outfits … then dress to impress and join the fun.  The best dressed will win fabulous prizes.

Belly flop onto a toboggan, enjoy the two snow play areas – one for tiny kids and one for big kids – and grab a selfie with Frozen characters Olaf and Anna.

The Mt Baw Baw Snow Patrol, Radio 3GG and AFL Gippsland will be out to blitz; and get ready to dance in the street flash mob style with DJ Nige and Kombi … yay!

Count down for the 7.30pm Fireworks display.

Chillax and graze around the night cafes, shops and food stalls … wine tastings for grown ups, plenty of hot chocolate, chai and coffee … take the kids on a Treasure Hunt for the coolest prizes!

All Warragul Business Group members are invited to attend this year’s AGM to elect a new Executive Committee for 2017/2018 year.  The Executive Committee positions include President, Vice President Secretary, Treasurer and ordinary executives; and all positions have been declared vacant.

All Warragul Business Group members are encouraged to become involved and think about nominating for a position.

The event includes networking opportunities and includes a fabulous Brazilian BBQ (vegetarian and gluten free options available) with drinks at bar prices.

Wine tasting also available.
