SnowFest Warragul 2018
Award winning and free SnowFest Warragul will be on Friday 27 July between 5pm and 8pm in Smith & Palmerston Streets with a fireworks display at 7.30pm.
What is SnowFest Warragul?
SnowFest Warragul started with the crazy idea of bringing truckloads of real snow from the top of Mt Baw Baw into the heart of Warragul for fun and free family event.
Activities include snow play areas for big and little kids, toboggan run, Dunking for Gold Challenge community fundraiser, dance music, competitions, food, toasting marshmallows and fireworks display.
SnowFest is very much about supporting our local community, so we’re asking everyone to bring a gold coin and help support this year’s selected local charities in the icy cold Dunk for Gold Challenge.
SnowFest Warragul won Baw Baw Shire’s Australia Day Community Event of the Year 2017.
An initiative of the Warragul Business Group, this special event is run by a fantastic group of volunteers with the support of our local businesses and community groups.
What we will be doing
On Friday 27 July, we will close Smith Street and Palmerston Street at 2.00pm to bring in snow and snow making equipment. A traffic management company will control street closures and traffic diversions.
CBD food and drink businesses will be open along with Snow Market stalls.
Fireworks: Help keep pets safe and happy
The fireworks display in Civic Park Warragul at 7.30pm may upset some pets. Where possible, please help by keeping your pets safe, secure and (if necessary) indoors between 7.15pm and 7.45pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We seek the help of our community to help make SnowFest Warragul a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
See you in the snow!
