The Spirit of Warragul needs you!
Long story short: this A2 Class Steam Train 986 started its working life over 102 years ago, was retired in 1963; and after a 30 year restoration project has been finally brought back to life again.
Centred around the Queen Street Park area, activities include traction engine procession, vintage cars and trucks, standing engines, model trains, art and photography exhibition, music, entertainment and pop up poetry.
Return Warragul to Traralgon steam rail tickets are available from the West Gippsland Arts Centre box office or call 5624 2456.
Drag out your Cosplay, sophisticated steampunk, neo Victorian gown, wig and moustache, or conductor gear … grab a camera, come along and help us celebrate in style!
This event is brought to you by The Rotary Club of Warragul, Warragul Business Group, West Gippsland Arts Centre and Steamrail Victoria.
